Regenerative Stem Cell Therapy

Alamo Heights Pet Clinic was one of the first the first Clinics in San Antonio to offer stem cell therapy and the first clinic in San Antonio to offer In-house stem cell therapy.

In 2009 we started preforming Stem Cell Therapy using  the Vet-Stem process.   The Vet-Stem process required us to harvest adipose tissue from the pet and overnight the sample to Vet-Stem for processing.  Forty eight hours later the stem cells would arrive and the pet was injected.

In 2010 we started harvesting and processing the stem cells in-house using the MediVet process.  By using the MediVet process,Stem Cell Therapy became more convenient and affordable for the pet and owner.

In addition to Stem Cell Therapy, Alamo Heights Pet Clinic offers Stem Cell Activation Factor and Platelet Rich Plasma Injections.

Stem Cell Activation Factor

It is a drug free intravenous injection that is a formulated combination of growth factors, peptides, selected proteins obtained from ovine placental extract.  It assists in the internal cell regeneration, rejuvenation and anti-aging at the cellular level of the pet’s body to help aid the repair of damaged organs, muscles, tendons, nerve and skin tissue and affects the wellness and overall health of the pet.

Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelet Rich Plasma is derived from the blood drawn from the pet’s own body and processed within a few minutes to produce a platelet rich plasma that contains extremely high levels of the pet’s own naturally occurring growth factors.

Stem Cell Therapy, Stem Cell Activation Factor and Platelet Rich Plasma Injections are commonly used to treat the following conditions:

  • Osteoarthritis
  • Ligament Injuries
  • Tendon Injuries
  • Fractures

If you think that your pet is a candidate and are interested in Stem Cell Therapy, Activation Factor or Platelet Rich Plasma Injections,  Please call the clinic and schedule an appointment consultation with Dr. Kirby.
