Timely immunizations are very important, Pets need vaccines just like humans, and yearly boosters of those vaccineskeeps them protected.
Pet vaccines fall into two categories, core and non core. Core vaccines are recommended to be given yearly, while non-core vaccines are recommended yearly based on the lifestyle of the pet.
Canine Core Vaccines We Offer:
- Rabies (1 or 3 year available)
- Canine Parvo/Distemper/Adenovirus
- Bordatella
Canine Non-Core Vaccines We Offer:
- Leptospirosis
- Lyme
- Rattlesnake
- Canine Influenza
Feline Core Vaccines We Offer:
- Rabies (1 or 3 year available)
- FVRCP (Herpesvirus, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia)
- Feline Leukemia*
*Feline Leukemia can be considered a non-core vaccine in older cats
New Pet Vaccine Schedule
New puppies and kittens are given three rounds of vaccines, four weeks apart. Usually the first set are given at 6-8 weeks of age, the second set is given at 10-12 weeks of age and the last set is given at 14-16 weeks of age. The rabies vaccine is given with the last set.
