Boarding

In addition to all the other services, Alamo Heights Pet Clinic offers boarding for dogs, cats, birds and exotics.  Boarding charges are based on the weight limit of each pet and how many nights the pet stays.

All boarding pets are fed twice daily.  We offer our boarding pets Hill's Science Diet Maintenance Formula dry at no charge.  Science Diet Prescription food or any canned food are provided at an additional charge.  You are more than welcome to bring your pet's own food while they are saying with us.

Dogs that are boarding are to be 6 months or older and all dogs must be up to date on the following vaccines: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo and Bordatella.    All boarding dogs are walked twice daily.

Cats that are boarding are required to be 6 months or older and be up to date on the following vaccines: Rabies, FVRCP and Feline Leukemia.  Cats that are boarding with us are kept in their own boarding area away from dogs.

Pets that are on medication will be charged an administration fee during their stay, and all medications are given by our veterinary technicians.  If your pet has an existing medical condition our veterinary technicians will take extra special care of them while they are boarding.   Our kennel and veterinary technicians watch over all boarders, so if any medical conditions arise during their stay, they will be addressed by a doctor, during weekdays and weekends.
